Irbis Firewall Configuration Dialog - Trusted host
Previous  Top  Next
The Trusted hosts panel allows you to manage areas without use of advanced configuration options. When using with some of predefined security levels, Irbis Firewall creates several special areas that contains IP addresses of trusted hosts. When you add some host into such special area, this host will be allowed to some level of network connections with your computer.

Areas is a named sets of IP addresses that can be used in rules against an ordinary source or destination IP address. Such way this feature allows you to avoid creation of long-and-big-and-hard-to-understand rulesets, so you rulesets that uses areas will be easy-readable.
