Configuring NetConfig client

If you want to use Irbis Firewall NetConfig and NetLog features, client and server computers should run Irbis Firewall Professional. To activate these features use the NetConfig and the Log settings panels of the Irbis Firewall Configuration Dialog

To activate NetConfig

  1. Open the NetConfig panel of the Configuration Dialog
  2. Check NetConfig enabled option
  3. Set the listening address of the NetConfig server in the Server address box
  4. Set the listening port number of the NetConfig server in the Server port box
  5. Click the Add server button to add a server with the parameters you set to the list of the NetConfig servers

Listening address and port number of Irbis NetConfig server are defined by system administrator and should be compatible with the setting in the Irbis NetConfig server settings in the Configuration over Network panel.

To activate NetLog

  1. Open the Log Settings panel of the Configuration Dialog
  2. Set the Enable log over network option on
  3. Set the listening address of the NetLog server in the Server address box.
  4. Set the listening port number of the NetConfig server in the port box

Listening address and port number of Irbis NetLog server are defined by system administrator and should be compatible with the setting in the Irbis NetLog server settings in the Logs over Network panel.
